Apple, tree. GoldRush packs a flavorful punch with both high sugar and acid levels. It has some disease resistance (scab, powdery mildew, and fireblight) but is susceptible to cedar apple rust. Very cold-hardy (-22). Very productive, thus requires fruit-thinning to prevent branches from breaking under the load of fruit. Ripens late October early November but its high sugar content protects the fruit from cold damage. G.11 is a dwarfing rootstock (25% of Standard). All the apples for sale here were chosen because they are pollinizers for each other. We recommend purchasing at least one of two differing varieties for good cross pollinization.
